Where Do I Start?
If you're new to taking CBD, it may feel not very clear at first, but we're here to help make things a bit simpler for you; when taking CBD, the dosage varies for each person, depending upon several factors, including current lifestyle, weight and reason for taking CBD.
If you are new to CBD, starting with a low CBD oil dosage between 10mg and 25mg daily is recommended. Our 30ml bottle, 750mg CBD Oil strength, is an excellent place to start, providing 25mg per 1ml of CBD Oil. You can then increase the amount and dosage gradually until the optimal dosage is reached.
Using our guide you can tailor your CBD mg per day requirements based on your weight and current symptoms severity.
Our CBD Oil Guide: (strength (mg) / volume (ml) = mg per ml)
CBD Oil 750mg = 25mg per 1ml
CBD Oil 1,500mg = 50mg per 1ml
CBD Oil 2,500mg = 83mg per 1ml
CBD Oil 5,000mg = 166mg per 1ml
CBD Oil 10,000mg = 100mg per 1ml
CBD Oil 20,000mg = 200mg per 1ml
CBG & CBD Oil 2000mg = 33mg CBD / 33mg CBG per 1ml
CBN & CBD Oil 2000mg = 33mg CBD / 33mg CBN per 1ml
What Should I Buy?
Each person is unique in their CBD needs, however, here are some tips we can provide. The first is to start low and increase gradually. Using our chart above, you can estimate what strength you should start with based on your weight and any symptoms you're currently dealing with and adjust from there.
For example, if you're 80kg and have moderate symptoms we recommend our 1,500mg CBD Oil which provides 50mg per 1ml of oil.
How Long Does a Bottle Last?
How long a bottle will last will depend on how much CBD you consume per day and how many mg of CBD you need.
This quick guide will tell you how long a bottle would last on average and the cost of using CBD every day, it's cheaper than you think and less than the cost of an average coffee and as cheap as €0.31 cents per day!
If you are seeking to use 25mg per day, the following bottles will last a certain amount of days below and the cost of the oil per day:
(€50) 750mg = 30 days = €1.66 per day
(€75) 1,500mg = 60 days = €1.25 per day
(€100) 2,500mg = 100 days = €1.00 per day
(€125) 5,000mg = 200 days = €0.62 per day
(€200) 10,000mg = 400 days = €0.50 per day
(€250) 20,000mg = 800 days = €0.31 per day
Start Low, Go Slow!
How Much CBD is Too Much?
To find your optimal CBD dosage, we recommend that you take a low starting dose for at least a week.
If you do not notice any benefits after this period of time, increase your dosage by a small amount every few days until the desired effects are achieved.
If you think you may have taken too much CBD, or experience any adverse side-effects, such as lightheadedness or a dry mouth, we recommend that you lower your CBD dosage immediately.
Whilst it is possible to take too much CBD, the effects are unlikely to be serious; however, exceeding the recommended daily dosage amount may cause unpleasant side effects, including nausea, lightheadedness and diarrhoea in some cases.
Therefore, we recommend using a dosage tailored to your needs that does not have adverse side effects on yourself and staying below the recommended maximum dosage of 70mg CBD per day to minimise the risk of experiencing side effects.
HOW TO TAKE CBD OIL?
1. FIND THE RIGHT CBD DOSAGE FOR YOU
Find a CBD product suited to your needs and the dosage you think you need.
How to calculate dosage:
Bottle Strength (mg) / Bottle Size (ml) = mg per ml
For example 2500mg / 30ml = 83.33mg per 1ml.
2. PUT DROPS UNDER THE TONGUE
Lift your tongue to the roof of your mouth and place the required number of drops beneath it.
3. LEAVE UNDER THE TONGUE FOR 1 MINUTE
Leave the oil under your tongue for one minute before swallowing. This allows the CBD to be fully absorbed by the oral mucosa. It can take 15-30 minutes for CBD to take effect.
CBD BODY
While CBD oils and CBD capsules have a systemic effect on the body, CBD balms, Massage oils and other CBD skincare products target problem areas, such as sore joints or muscles, and keep CBD benefits localised to the point where they are most needed.
As CBD balms are absorbed by the skin, they do not enter the bloodstream and bypass the digestive process. This makes them relatively fast-acting.
CBD OILS
CBD oil drops have higher bioavailability than most other means of administration, increasing the amount of CBD that enters the bloodstream.
As CBD oil is administered under the tongue, CBD can bypass the digestive process and enter directly into the bloodstream via the oral mucosa. As a result, the effects may be felt more quickly than other means of taking CBD – usually within 15-30 minutes.
CBD EDIBLES
CBD snacks, CBD lollipops and other edible products are a delicious way to get your daily dose of CBD.
Popular CBD edibles include lollipops and teas. CBD Edibles can be digested before entering the bloodstream, which means they take longer to have an effect than CBD oils – usually within 1-2 hours however, our CBD lollipops avoid this issue and act as quickly as the CBD oils activate within 15-30 minutes.
Not Feeling the Benefits Of CBD?
Check below some of the most common reasons why you're not feeling the benefits of CBD?
Check our Dosage Chart above and then try increasing dosage gradually every few days until you start to feel the effects.
Just make sure you stay under the FSA’s maximum recommended dosage of 70mg CBD per day or seek expert advice if exceeding 70mg.
CBD accumulates in the body over time, so the longer you use it, the more likely it is that you’ll feel the desired effects.
In a survey conducted in 2021, they found that customers who had been using our CBD products for four months or longer reported the most health benefits.
Some CBD products work differently to others, so it’s important to find the product that best matches your needs.
For example, if you’re looking to soothe aching muscles or irritated skin, topical CBD products such as our CBD Balm is a great way to target problem areas and, therefore would be the best starting point.
On the other hand, if you’re looking for more generalised or systemic effects on the body, ingestible products like CBD oils, tea or snacks may be more effective.
Unfortunately, the growing hype around CBD has engendered a large amount of over-advertising which exaggerates its potential health benefits, leading many people to have unrealistic expectations.
Contrary to some of these over-hyped claims, CBD is not a “miracle extract”, “magic oil”, or “cure-all”, and it doesn’t start working immediately. CBD affects everyone differently, so don’t expect to have the same experience with it as someone else. Just be patient, experiment, and see what CBD could do for you.
HOW LONG WILL A BOTTLE OF CBD OIL LAST?
To find out how long a bottle of CBD oil will last, take the total number of milligrams of CBD contained in the bottle and divide it by your daily dose.
For example, if your daily CBD dosage is 25mg, and you take 5 drops of 1500 mg daily, divide 1500 by 25 and you get 60 – so the bottle would last 60 days.
WHICH CBD OIL STRENGTH SHOULD I CHOOSE?
If you’re new to CBD, we would recommend choosing a low strength oil so you can see how your body reacts, as CBD affects everyone differently.
However, it is important to note that choosing a suitable oil strength is not as important as taking the right number of CBD oil drops. This is because oil strengths differ in terms of how much CBD they contain per drop.
